ANTHONY FREDA FOR THE NEW YORK TIMES ARTICLE, "OUR CHEATING PSYCHES"

"Nancy Moore called me on Wednesday and asked if I could do a piece for the cover of N.Y. Times Week In Review by Friday. (a pretty generous deadline by Times standards). The story was originally titled "The Chump Factor", and it's about the desire to not become a chump as a rationale for cheating. Art director John Cohoe thought my concept of a poker player being seen as a clown by his cheating opponent hit the mark. I created a couple of versions with different palettes that seemed to work with the clown motif, and John picked the blue-green art for the final piece."

DAN PAGE'S LATEST UNIVERSITY ASSIGNMENTS

Northwestern University Magazine

Harvard Magazine

April is the month for difficult decisions as students decide which university they will attend in the fall.  Fortunately, Dan Page can work for all institutions of higher learning. Dan's superior conceptual skills make him one of the most prolific artists in editorial illustration.  Today we are highlighting two recent university assignments.  Northwestern hired Dan for three pieces in their spring issue on an impressive range of subjects:  heart health, crossword puzzles, and gay pride.  Dan's piece for Harvard was about a mother and daughter attending the college at the same time.  Please check out these images and Dan's portfolio:
